A South Texas native, Kristina began working with animals by volunteering in rescue work in and around her hometown. In 2016, she had the honor of joining the team at Austin Pets Alive! where she was able to learn more about her passion of helping animals. Since then, Kristina left APA! to work in different veterinary clinics and animal hospitals around Austin to broaden her knowledge of veterinary medicine. At home, Kristina enjoys spending time with her cat, Betty, and daydreaming of owning multiple cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies (and perhaps even one day, a chinchilla)."
